Spirit, Soul & Body Fitness Challenge
Was one of you New Year’s resolutions that you would lose weight? Have you found that three months into the New Year you’re no closer to your goal than you were at the beginning of the year? Then the “The Greater Works” Foundation’s Walkathon Fitness Challenge is for you! The purpose of this challenge is two-fold. First, it will assist you in reaching your fitness goals. Secondly, you’ll be ready to ‘stay the course’ at the National Day of Prayer Walkathon which will be May 5, 2007. The challenge is designed to last for approximately 6-8 weeks. The culmination of the challenge will be at the National Day of Prayer Walkathon where awards will be given at the Post-Walkathon rally. No matter what your activity and fitness level, this challenge can help motivate you to improve. Registration will be Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Miami Dade College-North, 7:00 am. Some of the features of the challenge will include: •Before/After photos •Weekly weigh-ins •Fitness tips •Nutrition tips •Participants can pair up with others with similar fitness goals for encouragement to meet their goals. •Online logs to chart your progress •Participants will be encouraged to work on daily goals during the week. •Over 100 activities to choose from to meet your fitness goals Tools needed for participants: •Loose fitting clothing for walking/stretching (recommended) •Walking shoes •Pedometer (optional, but recommended to measure your steps daily) •Hand towel •Water It’s not too late to join the Greater Works Foundation's Fitness Challenge. Come out and let us help you meet your fitness goals. The cost for registration is $25, which entitles you to participate in both the fitness challenge and the walkathon. If the registration fee is a challenge for you, meet with us and we’ll show you how to register for free!! Registration for the fitness challenge will be ongoing until April 14th.
